I am an emerging Toronto artist and writer. My work expresses my passion for body politics, especially body image, body shame, body language, and self-acceptance. My other passions include singing, writing, reading, creating new blends of tea, and researching.
I am a writer and a digital artist. I use several ipad programs to create my work which can then be printed on any surface from canvas, to framed photographs, to ceramics, to apparel.
I fiercely explore women’s experiences of Eating Disorders, weight shaming, and the pathologizing of obesity. I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years. I bring my love of learning and joy for personal expression into my writing and artwork. Social justice and an anti-oppression lens frame much of my work.
